Off to Travel the World

Well I’m officially done school and off to travel the world. The main destination: India.

Richard, Kiran and I have been talking about a huge backpacking trip and the time has finally come.

In total the whole trip will be about two months long and we have a lot of ground to cover. The complete itinerary is (all dates in local time):

April 30: Leave Calgary – arrive in Los Angeles
May 4 – Leave LA
May 5- arrive in New Delhi via Singapore
June 16- leave Mumbai (Bombay) – arrive in Singapore
June 21- Leave Singapore – arrive in Tokyo
June 26 – Leave Tokyo – arrive home!

So in total we will be hitting 4 countries this trip and a whole lot of time zones.

While I’m excited for the other stops India is the core of the trip. As it can be seen we have about 40 days to get from New Delhi to Mumbai.

Throughout the trip I’m going to try to keep the blog updated. So check in occasionally to see my hijinks. I think the following video best previews my experience in India.

Engg Week Movie!!!

Some of you may remember months ago when I first mentioned the movie we were making for ENGG and I posted the trailer.

The movie premiered the first week of school way back in January. It was well received and I was proud to say that we won best movie (which is impressive since all the movies that year were really good).

Since that time things such as school work, being outside of Calgary and general laziness have prevented me from posting it. But finally the moment the moment you’ve all been waiting for.

I present to you the 2007 U of C Mechanical Engineering Engg Week Movie: Mechscalibur.

Huge thanks to Richard who put an ungodly amount of time into making this movie happen. This truly is his love child. Everyone who was involved in the movie was awesome. It was their willingness to wear nothing but a kilt and stand in snow that made this movie possible.

If you liked this movie you should check out some of the other Engg movies. Most of them can be found in the gallery section of http://www.enggweek.com/ . There is literally hours of entertainment to be found at that site.
