To summarize a Zombie Walk, basically a bunch of people dress up like zombies, go downtown and then shamble around for a couple of hours. Zombie Walks are a true testament to the power of the internet since they are generally not advertised in any other fashion.
The most common question that I got asked is "Why dress up like a zombie and shamble around downtown?" The answer is simple, because it is fun to dress up like a zombie and wander around downtown.
My group started up about 2 hours before the event started and scrambled together some costumes. For blood we used corn syrup and food coloring. The ghastly faces were a mix of back and white face paint. It was also discovered that oat meal gave the appearance of disgusting rot, which was perfect. My partners in crime for this were Carlin,
Once our costumewerere complete it was time to head to the meeting spot at Olympic Plaza. We were concerned that there wouldn'e be many people there, however we werpleasantlyly surprised by the horde of zombies which greeted us.
Once enough zombies had assembled it was time for the march of the undead to begin. The first destination was along Stephen Ave.
Once the zombies had overrun Stephen Ave. they headed towards 17 Ave.
After 17 Ave. the Zombie Walk ended at Olympic Plaza. In total the walk took about 2.5 hours and was a hell of a good time. To whoever was responsible for organizing this, you are a king amongst men.
